Pub Strut: Locations t/b/a. 6:00 PM - 'til

Here's your chance to experience first hand the wealth of live music New Orleans has to offer. As we stroll through notable New Orleans neighborhoods such as the French Quarter and Faubourg Marigny, we'll stop in various clubs ranging from holes in the wall, from the traditional to the trendy, listening and dancing to the music that made our city famous.

Dancing is limited to the size of the clubs, but where there's no real dance floor we make room between the tables.

We'll start at Café' Beignet/Music Legends Park, 311 Burbon St. for dinner and drinks at 6PM then head out to individual clubs at 8PM. Watch for a list of the clubs/bands to be posted as the exchange nears.

NOTE: This event occurs prior to registration. Cover charges to the various clubs (ranging from free to $10) are not included in the registration fee. Club directions and more details will be posted online and sent in a Lindy Gras telegram the week before the event.

We're bringing back our ever-popular Saturday afternoon tours of the city where we showcase the Crescent City's uniqueness.

Krewe du Vieux Parade:

We'll kick off the city's carnival celebration by catching the Krewe du Vieux parade in the Marigny and French Quarter. A good spot to meet up is d.b.a., 618 Frenchman Street. 7 p.m.

This highly irreverent group carries on the traditions of carnival celebrations past with hand or mule drawn floats decorated with satirical themes and costumed revelers dancing in the streets to the sounds of some of the city's best brass brands.

To quote the krewe - "We believe in exposing the world to the true nature of Mardi Gras - and in exposing ourselves to the world." - this parade is not for the faint of heart!!

When we're done reveling, we'll head to Gallier Hall for the evenings Main Dance.
